Tokens, coins and tokens
JMband is a leading supplier of tokens, coins and game chips (jettoner) with many years of experience.

Benefits of using tokens and coins
Using tokens instead of paying with a currency makes it possible to track goods and services purchased and make the transaction easier. Turnover of suppliers in an event can be tracked so that the organizers of the event can charge a percentage of the turnover instead of a fixed fee.

There are other benefits when paying with tokens or coins, people tend to spend more because it is not direct currency they are paying with.

Statistically, unused tokens and coins are not always redeemed and converted into currency, either because of laziness or because they are kept as souvenirs.

Because they are often associated with gambling instead of real money, people tend to be less careful and lose them.

They are recognizable by touch, they differ by size, color, material and many times of the designation visible on them

4 ways tokens and coins are used
1 as vouchers (with a currency value)

2 as souvenirs

3 as game chips, jettoner.

4 in vending machines

Coins and tokens are used as exchange media to gain goods, services or access to an event. Using them instead of paying with a currency makes it possible to track goods and services purchased and make the transaction easier.

They are a perfect little souvenir from an event. Text and logos are embossed over them in a way that people are very familiar with.

Tokens and coins are also used as game chips, where they often represent a kind of valuable thing in a game. A very well known gaming chip is a casino chip (jetton) where plastic chips are used as money equivalent.

Another common use is with automatic machines, where coins and tokens are used to trigger a mechanism that starts an automatic process. From access control to vending machines, from supermarket shopping carts, to washing machines using automated process, you save labor and make things simple.

New and sophisticated versions of tokens and coins have a near field communication (nfc) RFID chip embedded in them. When moved close to an RFID scanner, they trigger an automatic mechanism. Eg. Access to various forms of public transport, where RFID tokens are used to trigger a barrier gate or a turn.

Materials used to make coins and coins
1 Metal

2 Plastic

3 Potato starch (ECO environmentally friendly)

4 Wood

5 Wood sawdust and resin

Metal coins and tokens are offered in various types of material such as brass, aluminum, plated iron, zinc and others.

The main manufacturing method is by striking a shiny metal disc against a hard shape that characterizes the discs.

Plastic tokens and coins are made of PVC. They are lightweight and cost effective. Plastic flakes are melted and applied in a high pressure mold. Molds are usually made in such a way that a few coins are formed in each injection. The plastic bolts are formed according to the shape in which they are injected. In this way, logos and texts can be raised or lowered from the surface. Printed plastic tokens are made as flat discs with an edge and then further adjusted using UV inkjet or tampo printing.

Potato starch tokens are made of a polymer consisting of long chains of glucose units that are composed. It actually contains two polymers, Amylose, which is a straight chain of glucose units, and Amylopectin, which is a branched polymer that is also made of glucose units. The potato starch polymer is used in a plastic injection machine just like standard plastic.

Wooden coins and tokens are basic wooden boards. Long sticks, (equivalent to a wooden broomstick) are cut to form slices. It is possible to further customize the discs by pressing it with ink or laser engraving (burning them).
